Two male officers visit a girls' hostel and forcibly remove Rashmi (Taapsee Pannu) out of her room to arrest her because they have received an allegation that a guy is staying there. Before that, one of them mocks her, saying she's a con with a woman's voice.

Rashmi has always run at a breakneck speed, and her father has always encouraged her tomboyish tendencies and sprinting. Her father died in the Bhuj earthquake when she was competing in a school competition. Her fleet and agility continue to grow, but after the pain of losing her father during a race, she chooses to stop competing in sprinting competitions.
