 Anbirkiniyal, a Tamil version of the 2019 Malayalam film Helen, was directed by Gokul. Keerthi (Anbu), the daughter of Arun, plays a woman who unintentionally becomes locked in a freezer compartment in the film.

The father and daughter connection is the focus of the drama. Arun Pandian and Keerthi Pandian, a father, and daughter from real life, respectively portrayed the roles on screen. There are many crime thrillers in Tamil cinema, however, there aren't as many survival thrillers. Tamil cinema does not often explore this genre.

The life of a young woman named Anbu is explored in Anbirkiniyal. Anbu, a 25-year-old lady, is pleasant and responsible. She resides with her father, Sivam, an agent with the LIC. She shares everything with her father and they get along well. She knows his circumstances and wants to relieve him of his financial load. She prefers to be an independent woman because of this.

When Charles entered the storyline everything in Anbu's life has been changed.
